I thought I've seen it all.......this thread is what's wrong with RC racing. Barry is quickly approaching the masters class age and I for one could care less if him, masami, or Hara was in a heat that I'm in. I WILL PONY ONE OF THEM....

Lakers vs Celtics
Bulls vs Pistons
Appolo vs Rocky
Espo vs Harsh

it makes for great entertainment and Espo whippin' up on Harsh so much has pushed Harsh into practicing more which in turn made him a threat in our area which made for killer racing. I hope Espo beats him again to keep him hungry and keep him on his toes.....ha ha ha ha ha ha.

Do you think Espo prints out all these quotes and hangs them on his mirror and that's his motivation??? Damn I have too much time on my hands

My dad might be going to race in the Masters at Cleveland. He isn't that good, and he knows he isn't going to win the A-Main (I hope), so he won't care about racing with Eli Ezrow, Barry Baker, ect... (Sorry If I left a few guys out, send me a PM if you really want your name on the list) The fast guys will only be with him for qualifing.

I couldn't have said it any better. Right on Rob!

This is kind of a stupid thread. The real issue is stock guys dominating that are too scared to move on................. There needs to be rules.

Win an A main stock ROAR event you are out. Podium finish two or three times in stock you are out. Until you podium a few times or win you continue to race stock. Once you do meet the criteria you move on to 19 turn or modified.

I still think there needs to be open modified and factory modified. This would attract more racers into running modified at these large events. Keep the factory guys out of 19 turn. Have rubber and foam modifed for the factory guys if they need to run two classes.

Leave us old guys alone. The Master class down here in Florida has a few younger guys against the older guys. Guess what the older guys are doing okay. Nationally I've driving against Tom and he's good.He meets the requirements and I have no problem with that.Maybe you want a Super Masters class for over 55- I'll go for that. But I'll still be losing to the overall leader in our series and he's grey just like me.By the way I also won a Nationals Masters title in 2003 in 1/12th.

What a dreadful thread.

Do some of you really think that RC racing is only about winning, and that if someone is better than you there must be some rule to stop them racing?

Give the people with skills some respect.

If the rules say over 45's or whatever, let them race, regardless of whether they are a former world champion or someone who picked up a transmitter for the first time a week ago.

Wink

Ah what good entertainment that was..to those who realized I was joking, hope you enjoyed it..to those who didn't..eh, I was joking. It was simply a product of not enough sleep, and a 102 degree fever..

I like where it's going though..

Considering the age of some of our masters, I say forget looking to viagra, geritol, ben gay and related for sponsorship ... should be actively pursuing Preparation H. 50 year old fat guys who've been sitting on their asses for 30+ years wrenching on toy cars have got to have some serious fire down below.

ahaha. I'm just kidding guys..I love old people.

Cool

I think the way to solve this problem is to follow the National trend...just keep adding more classes. This way, 1 out of every 10 racers can be a National Champion.

Factory Masters sounds good.

While we're at it, let's add:

Rubber Factory Stock Brushless
Foam Novice Stock LiPo
Pneumatic Sportsman 19T Hamster-wheel
Mod TC3 Racers from Arkansas with Orange HPI Mustang bodies

But seriously, this reminds me of a quote from former Steelers LB Greg Lloyd.

"When that guy lines up across from me, he's got two choices. Either step up his game, or get his @ss kicked all day."

Anybody who wants to futher segregate the classes by moving the fast guys away from the rest (and make more classes) should read that quote.

This is competition...not kiddie-league soccer where even last place gets a trophy.

Provided YOU don't race in that class. You're way too fast for it.

You belong in Factory 540 Mabuchi, single motor, lipo, foam-tire E-Maxx.

Sandbagger.

In Factory we can run 3-cell Lipos up to 8000 mah, and we can run ANY pinion we want, but we are still limited to a 72 tooth spur gear, you only get to run the 70 tooth spur in UNLIMITED 540 Mabuchi, single motor, lipo, foam tire E-maxx.
