Default Off-Road Racing @ Leisure Hours Raceway

Welcome to the Leisure Hours Off Road Racing thread.

Tire Choices

Indoor Tires -
Usual choices are clay compounds. When track is dry enough we sometimes go to soft or supersoft compounds.

Outdoor Tires - Usually soft or super soft. anything from holeshots to barcodes and dirtwebs will work. 8th scale guys seem to like AKA impacts quite a bit and I think Green dirtwebs or SS chain links will be very good.

Noob here. What, if any, are the major format or class differences between the outdoor racing and indoor racing? I'm familar with the indoor but know nothing about the outdoor since I got into the sport this winter. Indoor racing stills runs all summer too, right?

The Prairieland Shootout is the perennial start to outdoor season. If I remember right its at the end of April, but my memory sucks.... . I'm ready to go outside now! Hopefully we still get a good group coming for it with all the onroad defectors...

Funny you should mention this. The Leisure website has the Prairieland Shootout for electric Sat, May 19th, Nitro Sun, May 20th.

4wd SC FTW! Last year that and boosted 17.5 SC were big. Mod buggy was usually run too, and usually at least a heat of mod sc.

Look mods I started another thread. I like to see my name, it's almost as cool as having your name in the phone book.

Default Summer Racing hours

I was wondering if the hours of racing on saturdays off road were still going to be the same as what they are now.
