Rb and Novarossi

Rb and Novarossi
I'm getting back into the hobby after about 7 years, and I have a lot of reading and catching up to do.
I just to run RB engines, and love them, but know I'm considering either RB or Novarossi. I was told by a knowledgeable person that Nova engines are better than RB, better materials, quality, craftmanship, etc.
I was wondering if that is true, I guess like I said, I need a lot of catching up to do and I want some solid advice. I'm reading the forums and mags, but it will take some time.
I was going to go back to RB, but I want the best, and so here is my dilemma.
Can anyone give me some useful information, I would appreciate it.
Thanks.

Boy, is this question going to start a debate!
Anyways, I would recommend you to tell use what track your going to run first so we can at least know what port or type engine you be needing. I sure some members opinions on models can be recommended in either RB or Nova. In the Novaroassi type, I prefer JP racing. It has more internal work or treatments in either stock or modified form.

what class are you going to be running? If 1/8 and price is not an issue then get the nova 359 w/ mule not a bad price for two engines. Nova also has a two pack .12 set. But once you start to touch those factory mods the prices get a little out of had for one engine. That's were RB has a better value and their performance is more than enough, I say RB or bang for buck Mega engines aren't bad for price

From my experiance, the RB and the Novarossi are pretty simular. Novarossi makes the blocks, bearings and carbs for RB as well as others. The primary difference is the sleve and crank. RB makes there own crank, sleves and heads. Porting and timinng are the major difference between the two manufacturers.
For the most part, when I need many parts for my RB's they come in a Novarossi package. (pistons, pins, carbs, bearings, rods)These are all interchangable parts for most Novarossi based engines.

Thanks for the replies already. This is for 1/8 offroad by the way.
I have been looking at the nova 367 engine, looks like a winner specially with all the stuff that it comes with.
My last engine was an RB WSII, and I don't think those are around any more. I don't know if parts are available for it, so I was also considering the C6BBT or the WSIII
Thanks.

Novarossi makes RB. So they are about the same. The top 3 is Novarossi, O.S., and Picco. Picco has been doing alot lately and they engines are excellent.
