I assume is either uneven tightness on the screws or being too gentle as the screws hasn't fully tighten, or the large black o-ring hasn't seat correctly.
Just my 2 cents, hope this help.

I actually just rebuilt it to check it, as I had it sitting around for 3 weeks and noticed that the rear belt was completely lubed up (and the insides almost dry).
I suspect it was coming out through both, as previously i noticed the teeth completely lubed up and earlier i found the plate where the screw heads are lubed as well.
Anyway it's been 24 hrs and no signs of leaking, so maybe I got lucky this time.
I'll still get some green slime anyway I guess.

- Don't over fill but also don't under fill.
- Don't over tighten and don't under tighten.
- When tightening, tighten the screws evenly to prevent the o-ring from popping out.

motor mount
thanks everyone for the posts, as a newbie with the s411 they allreally help.
just a quick question regarding the motor mount. I'm running 21.5 blinky class, and to get the car geared down to a suitable level it needs to be running 64tooth 48dp spur gear. To change the pinion it requires removal of the chassis plate and spur gear holder/mounts to get at motor screws.
Is there a motor mount available that is vertical not horizontal (similar to sakura zero) if not has anyone got any ideas?
any help appreciated

i run stock to with thr RW spur gears if you you mesh the gear with the one screw you can then just undo 3 screws on the 2 peice mount and then tighten up the other motor mount screw no need to remove the top deck. the RW spurs have extra holes in them so normally if you have a ball end driver you can do this also with out removing parts the spurs i use range from 60-66 been the largest for stock where i run..
serpent do not release a mpunt vertically the have a optional 1 peice mount
