Of course the clock on the camera could have been incorrectly set but based on the appearance of the car in the first pic compared to the condition of the car in your pick I'd say he sent you a car he bought a while ago.

Next time someone sends you a picture of what they are trying to sell you go to http://images.google.com/ and either drag and drop the photo in to the search bar or copy and paste the URL and have google do an image search and see if the picture was ripped from another website.
