I run mine on a 3PKS with either a 75Mhz module/rx combo or Spektrum Pro HRS combo. Both with HRS "ON". They work fine.

Cheers!!
Already reserved the throttle.. but still had those problem..

any setting advice will be appreciated..
Also what is the best setting for RB50 with 11.5R motor?
WOW! With a 3.5 you already have crazy power, there is no need for turbo as it will just make everything hot.

Its important to note that the RB series turbo is NOT the same as turbo on many other ESC's which simply advance the timing for more top end. The RB turbo forces more current through the motor to give you more of everything (power and speed). When you run spec turbo and correct gearing will give you a big advantage but with modified turbo is only going to create lots of heat with no usable beifit. From my testing I find timeshift 3 is as high as you need to go on a 3.5 with around 19mm rollout. This will allow you up to 6min runs without problems.

Note: So far this speedy has generated some crazy top end from any motor I have thrown at it so if you race mod I suggest a 4t or 4.5t with timeshift up to 5. This gives very good power and race pace and you won't have problems with heat even on a warm day.

with 11.5 you should run boost and time shift 4 to 5. Gear at around 36mm roll out and adjust according to temperature and lap speed. you can also turn up the drive profile for more punch but find the balance to suit the motor you run!!

Hi,

I am looking to purchase the RB-30 (RB-50 too expensive for me) and will be using it with a 21.5 for the VTA class. Since been away from RC for a loooong time. Will i suffer against the new tech of the SPX stock Spec and Tekin RS? (they are what most drivers use in the track). I will be using a 2S 4000 28C pack.

I will be using my old T2 '06 with the track being 90 x 40 what gearing would you recommend? any good store where i can buy the RB-30 at a reasonable price?

oh yeah.. was never an A main driver

Thanks !

You won't suffer they will. In Australia we have proven that the RB30 can race competitively in 10.5. 21.5 will be a walk in the park for this speedo. The turbo will give you the same top end as a SPX but much more punch than a SPX could dream of.

Team Wave had some good results tonight at a club race in Sydney Australia. In the premier class, 10.5, 1st, 2nd and 3rd were all using Team Wave RB speed controls. In fact the win was with the RB30 proving just how capable the RB30 is for any class of spec racing.

On a tight and technical track it seems Time Shift of only 2 or 3 gives more punch than 4 or 5. Top speed is still great thanks to the Turbo feature. There should be no doubt that Team Wave speed controls are as fast as any other speed control on the market.

Have any setup for 4.0 R or 4.5R.
I play 416we and use Li-Po 5000mah 40C, (RB-50) Brushless system.
THX!

I did some testing on that subject yesterday. I found that you can actually MATCH the power and speed of a 4.0 with a 4.5 by using the turbo feature of this speedy. My best results were with....
22mm rollout
timeshift 3
turbo on
drive profile 3

I found that you can have as much (if not more) power and speed than a 4.0 with your 4.5. It also runs cooler and you have the advantage of power at full throttle (turbo) an driveability when you lift of the throttle. This was all tested on a BIG track where power matters.

Scary thing is I know what is coming and how much better it is!

No one knows anything more than Team Wave have said. I only found out about the 1/12th speedo by reading it here. They have already released one firmware upgrade and I guess its always possible another one will be released one day.

I'm planning on getting the RB30 with 17.5 motor for my RCGT car. Does anyone have a base setup for this motor combo?

Thanks in advance
