No, none of the Speed Passion ESC supports brushed motor.

The only one that I can think on top of my mind is LRP SPX, which I ran with silver can at the past TCS regional.

Default Multi ESC Programming Card

I have a SP Stock Club ESC that I am running in a VTA car and was trying to program drag brake into it, I was told that I needed a PRogram card to do this. I got one from a fellow racer at my local track and cant figure out how to get drag brake with it. The only thing it lets me change is the ThresholdV/cel lipo cut off, running operation and dynamic multi timing system. Is their something I am doing wrong or is this the wrong program card. Any information would be greatly appreciated.

I think someone told me that the program box actually had the wrong descriptions for the 3 available program options and that brakes was in one of the first three program options ... not sure if this is correct or not

The sticker I have for my programming card only shows 3 options.

1 - ABS
2 - Drag Brake
3 - Thermal cutoff.

I've not had any trouble programming mine with the programming 'box' I have from SP.

I don't think you can program anything else on the Club Spec.

The programmer card that you used from your friend is probably for the other cirtix ESC (like the short course master unit) the sticker on the slide out panel is not for your ESC....

If you are plugging into the card, you can only see 3 options...1, 2 and 3. If you can see more then 3 options, that is not a club spec ESC.

The options are below....

(1) Percent Braking - ABS 20% 30% 40% 50% 60% 70% 80% 90% 100%
(2) Percent Drag Brake - 0% 10% 20% 30% 40% 50% 60% 70% 80%
(3) Thermal protection - Enable Disable

My first 3 options are the ones I have in my first post. not the ones you stated. Do I have the wrong card or could I use the card I have to make these choices instead of what is shown?

It is not the wrong card. The card you are using, has the SCM setup label on the slide out panel. Because your friend is probably using the card for his SCM ESC, not the club spec ESC.

When we ship out the programmer card, since it is a multi-ESC card, it can read multiple ESC. The card included like 7 different ESC setup stickers and your friend is probably using the SCM esc and thats why he put that SCM ESC setup sticker on the slide out panel.

All you have to follow is what I wrote above and key in the correct value, just don't follow of what your friend's card's slide out panel sticker description.

Or go to this link and click on the 3rd image on the top line from the left.

Switched from 17.5 sp v3 to a 17.5 Ballistic. Ran a couple of times. The next day, system does not run. When I pull the throttle it wants to reverse, then dies. Did I fry the esc? I have been using the esc for months now with the v3 combo. It makes a high pitched noise when I pull the throttle.

Is there a new combo with an updated 17.5 V3 motor? The kits I was about to order (and the one I have in my buggy right now) are V2 motors. Just want to know what the latest and greatest are.

Thx.

PS. Ran my buggy again for 4 hours today and I'm always impressed with how this things performs. I'm tempted to order another for my SC10 and put the Tekin on the shelf for a while.

Try unplugging the sensor wire and plugging it back in.
