Other than having the dual shunts, they are the same compound.
If the brushes are going in a MS, pull the shunt wires through the slot on the motor tabs and solder them there. OR, one on the Tabs and one on the hoods. (there IS a difference)

The Parma One will ruin your brush Hoods and bend them also. You have to be very careful with it. Getting one like the Big Jim Bar is a better option.

hi guys. i'm trying out a motor i got, its a banzai stock motor, i think its p2k or p2k2 based, not sure, but it looks more like p2k2 based, i tried in on the motor run-in on the pulsar and at 4.8 volts, it gave a reading of 7.4 amps and at 7.2, it had a reading of 8.7 amps, question is, what do those numbers mean? Tanx.

Honestly... they really mean nothing.
I can have a motor that pulls 6amps at 4 volts and have it run better then a motor that pulls 12amps at 4 volts. Just use your pulsar to break in the motor and then use the track as a test for your motor. Gear the motor low for one run and then go up in a tooth until your track time laps fall off...then you will know right where to gear your motor.

I try to go with a low amp draw motor which is more effecient and powerful than a high amp draw motor. A motor drawing low amp doesn't heat up as much which equals to more power throughout the race.

P2k arm in Mvp can. Does anyone know what brush spring combo works well?
Thanks

Since stupid trinity decided to put a more softer (crappier) comm on the monster stock
what are good brush and spring combinations for it?

As far as I know, the same brushe you'd use on any other stock motor should work just fine on the Monster stock motor. I typical use the new Trinity 99+ compound or Putnam brushes. It seems everyone has their favorite brushes... I personaly feel you can make any decent brush work, sometimes differnt brushes like differnt springs, but ussualy you can find some combo that works reasonably well if you try.

Calvin Ng - If the putnams arn't working for you then just throw in some 767's.

I believe the CLOSEST thing to a 767 is the Putnam Blue............................. probably very similar compounds

The statement of Trinity using a softer Copper in the coms of the newest motors, is based on the feedback of several different experienced racers.
This has NOT been confirmed as fact, but is offered as a probable reason to why Putnam brushes do not seem to work as well in the newest samples of EPIC motors as they have in the past.
The Good news is that in these newest batch of motors, Reedy and Trinity brushes seem like they now work better. (go figure?)
