guys,
are you using the split type suspension mounts on the exotek?
both FRT/RR and RR/FRT?
is the difference noticeable?
TIA!

Looks like you'll need most of the steering mechanism and all of the drivetrain / bulkhead set up. Re the bulkheads i'm looking at how close the TB03 A-Parts (carbon re-enforced) are to the alloy bulkheads are in terms of mounting points, if these can be used it would be a hell of a lot cheaper and make them a lot more available, i'll let you know how it goes.

the split blocks allow the chassis to flex more. it also has the benefit of being stronger than the 1 piece blocks.

Noted, but I doubt it would be "noticeable" to me. I am not one of the fast guys and I race on carpet where traction and chassis flex is not always needed like it would be outdoors. I just use whatever blocks I happen to have at the time. If I have to buy new ones then I will buy the split ones because it's a 2 for one.

What are these chassis going for these days? All I can find are $1000+ kits on Ebay and Amazon. I have one partly built using the recommended upgrades found here: http://www.tamiyausa.com/articles/fe...article-id=226 (minus the screws) and the optional transparent blue plastic parts. Along with an Airtronics 94757 servo and LRP esc.
Thanks

Is there any alternative to the 5mmx2mm spacer (9805941) that's used in between the bearing and the rear shaft cup? It looks redundant to me ...

I bought a pack of the TB03 carbon parts so I could test this and the holes do not match. Also the top brace would not mount using the TB03 parts... I haven't had any luck finding the upper and lower bulkheads anywhere but Tamiyausa and I am not going to pay retail price because that is crazy high!
I wasn't able to get the rear drive shaft from anywhere but I'm fairly sure the Optional TB03 ones will fit right in.

I'm thinking of selling a brand new in box evo5 and brand new exotic chassis conversion. Wonder what it's worth

I can't wait to try this Exo-Evo-5-MS out. I plan to try it out in both USGT and USVTA classes, but who knows when this will be... I am just waiting on my servo and ESC so I can try to figure out how I can fit it in. I might go with a shorty lipo and receiver on the battery side leaving plenty of room on the motor side.
On another note; I did take out the MS spur gear quick change system. I was able to fit the standard one with a TB03 spur gear holder. Took some shimming but turned out great. The car has less shaft vibration then when I used the MS one. I thought the TB03 spur gear holder was the same as the standard EVO 5 one but I guess it is not. I just ordered the standard one today to see the difference, but the TB03 one worked just fine.
Anyone else got any pictures of their Exo setup or how the car is doing for you in X class?
Anyone know of any aluminum servo mounts that will work with the EXO setup?
