Slowly slowly catchy monkey...
I'm getting there with the parts, its been a long process, but everything is now on its way to get a killer MS up and running.
Chassis wise I'm thinking of a carbon tub similar to the one designed back in the day for the Yokomo SD - it should cap off the car nicely, although will need some additional design work.

Any chance you can email me the parts list you used?

I will list out the specific EVO parts once i have them all, but its probably easier us both if you download the manual from here:
http://www.tamiyausa.com/product/ite...oduct-id=42107
There are a couple of parts for the MS that are very hard to find, namely the spur adapter and propeller joint as listed previoulsy in the forum.
Suspension components are all still current with the 417 so its just a case of buying them seperately or, as is almost as cheap, buying a kit like the FF03 Pro (on offer at Banzai) and getting carbon plastics and threaded shocks.
Hope that makes sense.

Juan, Victors Hobbies in Newark has a lot of EVO 5 parts. They ordered them back in the day and never sold it. They have TAMIYA aluminum bulk heads, aluminum bevel diff gears, aluminum spur gear adapters, etc...

What is the difference between the standard TB Evo 5 and the MS version? Which parts do I need to upgrade to the MS version?

Thinking about building an Exo-Evo using some parts from a 416x. I was hoping someone could check a couple things before I start this project. Anyone know if the following will fit on the exo conversion:
416 Steering Rack
416 Upper Bulkheads
416 Shock Towers
Just trying to shorten my list of things I need to purchase if possible!

Hi Travis,
I've just cross referenced the 416x manual against the Evo 5 MS manual, of the parts you listed the steering levers (#19804375) are a direct fit, but the steering bridge (#13454512) isn't as the ball stud is vertical (as opposed to horizontal like the MS) which means it would interfere with the shaft, nor is the centre mount.
The bulkheads won't fit either based on the pictures in the manual.
Looks like you'll need most of the steering mechanism and all of the drivetrain / bulkhead set up. Re the bulkheads i'm looking at how close the TB03 A-Parts (carbon re-enforced) are to the alloy bulkheads are in terms of mounting points, if these can be used it would be a hell of a lot cheaper and make them a lot more available, i'll let you know how it goes.
Best,
Chris
