Good on you, great customer service. "NOT"
I ordered other parts for some of my other cars from my local distributor and he was prompt and reasonable. So I don't think I can lay the blame on him.
I can only say the it's an SP problem. I get stuff in 10-20 days from the US with cheap shipping so, it's not a shipping issue.
I just want to drive my car, is that such a big ask.
This is the primary reason I sold my SP1 - I had to swindle the owner of our local track to order a bunch of replacement SP parts just to get the one or two pieces I needed. Parts were always out of stock at all the normal online shops, including SP's site. When I could find parts, I'd end up having to buy from three different sellers to get my hands on a few dollars in parts - and pay more in shipping. I blame myself, really. I've been in the hobby most of my life, and go through phases where I like to run something different than the norm. Partly because I hope to find that "golden ticket" that has an edge over the competition, but mostly because I like having something different than everyone else. This burns me nearly 100% of the time, due in part to lack of parts support, and also lack of setup support. I'm 41 this year - I think I'm finally getting it. I was hoping to make Speed Passion a fixture at the local track. Only two of us ran the F1, but was managed to rope a bunch of drivers in to buying the LM1. Getting parts is obviously an issue for those, as well, so I predict the class will burn out soon, unless Speed Passion ups their game.

What is your budget ? The Savox is ok for the money. I recently put a KO brushless servo in my car, and honestly I can understand the importance of investing in good servos

I got SP1 with a used hitec worked ok. But doesn't centre anymore and im not the best driver i still hit the board alot but try to avoid bumping or tapping them. Not yet use to driving a F1 yet was only going to drive it this season and get a better handle on it.

Hi All,

I know a few people here has done the Exotek top arm conversion for the SP1, just wondering if you can provide the link measurements or would they be the same as what's on the F104.

Also have you guys found an improvement overstock?

Thanks.

Hi guys, does anyone have a list of the the spring rates available for the front of this car? I can see on the setup sheet that they are listed as Soft, Medium, Hard but what are the NN/mm or Lbs rating of the springs? I want to try the new Ride F1 front springs but would like to understand how these springs compare to the SP ones stiffness wise before I do. Many thanks!

Default Transverse Lipo Chassis

Having tested and refined my aluminium prototype chassis, I've had the parts I've designed made in carbonfibre by Fibre-lyte. They arrived yesterday, the quality is superb, and I've completed the build today. It uses shortened Schumacher superstox side dampers, & gets rid of the separate plate for mounting the front suspension.

speedpowerrc.com has a 25% off sale and they have the Tresrey version of the SP-1 in stock for $190 before the discount. I'm contemplating if it's worth it. I see some complaints about parts availability. How does the car handle compared to newer F-1 cars though?

For the price it's hard to beat. Even before the discount.

I'm not sure if he took video, but Howard just ran his SP1 at a large outdoor track with RobK and his F1s. RobK is arguably the best F1 driver in our area and Howard's SP1 was right there with him.

Well, I pulled the trigger and ordered the Tresrey SP-1. I also ordered a set of front and rear wheels, a 21.5T motor, and a couple of extra containers of grease (general and ball diff). After tax, with the discount, it came to just over $200. I have an ESC, servo and receiver to throw in. All I need now is a body. I was going to order one from speedpowerrc too, but then I thought I'd order one on Ebay that models a current car. I'm eyeing either the McLaren Honda or the Haas. I'd prefer to honor Haas but the paint scheme is more difficult.
