Since the F1R3 isn't sold as a complete kit, it would depend on what it was built with. Exotek has IFS front springs for their IFS and they sell Associated side springs, etc.

The front springs usually are the tamiya ones and the side springs that came with the kit were associated. TQ racing will have what you need.

I thought the front springs might be from Tamiya but they seemed softer than the Tamiya silver springs that I have. Thanks.

I was referring to the standard conversion with the springs that comes with it, not the IFS. Thanks

The F1R3 is sold as a conversion and doesn’t come with the front springs. If you bought it as a complete chassis from someone it is hard to say what springs they had in the front or even what side springs they used. There are many of both types of springs from many manufacturesrs that will work with the F1R3. Associated are the side springs that come with the conversion. If your front silvers seem softer than Silver Tamiyas then the could be another brand. I typically use the Tamiyas since the car is a converted Tamiya and I have plenty of Tamiya springs.

WOW! I did not realize I was already using the Tamiya front springs. I just ordered a new set of Tamiya springs which includes all the ratings. I could not find the silver Associated springs because it looks like they changed the description of the springs and are now using a different color code. I will use the CRC side springs since I have all 4 ratings. Thanks F1larry.

Just got the Exotek F1r3 car in the mail!! Really awesome looking car--heading to Hitec tomorrow for new radio and gear!! I'm hoping to get it together by Saturday so I can get some testing in with this baby!! I've gotta find a battery to put in it. Ordered the Fantoms--but they won't be here till next week. Maybe someone at the track will have one I can borrow for practice?

Mike R alluded in a post a few pages back that a complete kit could be in the works. I wonder if those plans remain?

You can get a replacement kit of all the small carbon F1R3 pieces straight from Exotek: EX05- TA05 V2 LIPO CHASSIS

TQRC also sells the Tamiya one which will work: https://www.tqrcracing.com/shop/prod....asp?p_id=5012

But I have a spare Exotek one by itself, unused if you're interested. Just send me a PM.
