As far as ballcups, I have timbled my car, cartwheeled it, etc. and not for R&D either, LOL. The only ballcup popping off on me is the molded link for the servo to the steering rack. I replaced it with a threaded rod for sway bars and two cut down ballcups and the problem is now gone.
TeamLosi is also making H.D. ballcups that are really tuff, in fact the next likely failuire will probably be the titanium turnbuckles or ballstuds if you crash hard enough......Jim

Hi! I know a lot you configure your own homemade spools, but does anyone have an idea if Losi will sell one and, if so, when? Thanks

Kevin, I think the yellow ballcups may be slightly softer then the included ballcups, not positive though. I have heard the coloring process casues this, and that is the reason for the pure white ones. This may be the popping off problem if that is the case.
The XXXS spool pads(sandpaper) have served me well, just biuld the diff like normal with NO diff balls and the diff rings will slip on the smooth side of the discs after assembly. Tighten for desired feel to help save outdrives, but prevent excess slipping......Jim

Jim....I follow what you are saying but on the XXXS I ran the yellow cups with out an issue....I actually like them over the white ones as far as fit and everything. I think with the tie-rods so small they dont give at all and end up taking it out on the ball cup. Like if you take a longer ti-tie rod its easier to bend then say a shorter one like on the JRXS and as a result the ball cups take more of the abuse I think. Either way its not a big deal Im going to try the sway bar parts and see how well they hold up.

Got my JRXS out on the track for the first time at SoCal today, gotta say I was really impressed. Ran BK's setup from the losi site and it was great, I did switch from 1/2 degree hub carriers to 1 degree hub carriers for a total of 2 degrees toe, just made it a little easier to drive. I've never driven a car that had so much on power traction, this thing is a missile out of the hairpins.
