yeh, that was a waste of time if indeed these cars work best setup at 172mm. by my setup board, my calipers and just plain math. measured at least 3 diff ways i come with a car that is ~169mm with jacos. both sides are equi-distant from center balancing hole (also took the time to do math to calculate that the hole on the chassis was in fact a center reference).

so folks are seriously adding shims to this deal. next question is, where can i locate shims bigger than the 1s they give u (.005 i think)? thx

where can i locate shims bigger than the 1s they give u (.005 i think)? thx

CRC has bigger shims for the rear axle.

XRay makes a set of shims including a .5, 1, and 2 mm shim for a 12th axle. It is a part of their XII link and tbar kits. look up the manual for the pn...

Hope it comes sooner rather than later! Havent driven mine since November but looking forward to getting the little fella out again. Those that have done the mod, what did they find vs the battery the in the "std" position.

Hahaha, love the cat pictures.

Saw it posted the other day on Petit rc. Aliens site doesn't have anything new posted up, so I can't find pricing/availability.

At least it'll give me time to try my setup first, and then a ,'solid' lipo specific chassis setup.
