These are 25mm thick but less capacity

I have some other shorty packs but these 2 are the best both in testing and in use.

It has been a while since I have been out for a run so I dont have the details memorised - but the only time I was concerned about pack temp was when a local 'pro' driver took my car around the track above - he was on it. I will pay more attention next time.

The Turnigy Panther are the best packs I have and the best I have seen tested - but they dont come in hard case or shorty...
In my opinion you are not using enough capacity. I used to run 4800 sunpadow batteries and they were "puffing" on 4 min runs. Then I tried the biggest (back then, now they are many other shorties with the same capacity) cpapacity battery i could find, the IP 6000. I run them for 1 year now (I have the first version of RX8E) with no problem. I usually eati up 3600-4000 mah per run and I run on big asphalt track.

I'm not having battery problems - more capacity is better but I am not a fan of HV packs - I'm more interested in longevity than runtime.

When you find the Turnigy packs on sale they are less than half the price of the IP ones. I can then run twice as often in the one trip to the track

next time I get out to use it I will take some numbers for interest.

So disappointed with the design of the car. I like this home made conversion better

Yep, back into it after a few years off... 1/12th not popular enough here in Sydney, so 8th scale it is. Funnily enough LIPO are my last item to sort out. I have nearly pulled the pin on the IP6200 shortys 2s but, looks like a IP6200 4s shorty is getting released. Trying to confirm length of 4s currently.

How many drivers to you get to a meet? If everyone in Perth turns out we can get just over ten or so to West Coast

Belt tensioner filed to allow for 2250. Might swap to a 2600 which is slightly shorter.

HW XR8 Plus needing a top tray modification in order to fit. Still more to do with a choice of lipo likely to be the intellect 6200 4s shorty.

Does anyone know if the spur gear on the rx8e (mod 0.8) has the same centre bore and screw pcd as the early nitro versions (mod1) second gear. (nitro first and second gear are different from each other). I have a converted rx8 14 and would like to use the spur adapter from the rx8e instead of getting mine custom built. Or can anyone tell me the RX8e shaft diameter, diameter of onside hole on rc8e spur, and locating holes pcd. I know the rx8e length is shorter so will have to add spacer or chorten shaft. Thanks

RC8e spur gear holder

Custom spur gear holder for rx8 14 nitro using spur from rx8 14 second gear on electric conversion
