Default Speed rod in standard XZ-B?

I read somewhere (now I can't find the thread) that the XZ-B does not have the oil hole in the rod and that it's better to put the speed rod in the mill. Is anyone experiencing more then avarage wear-n-tear without the Speed rod in this engine?

Also, Are you guys putting the rod in after break in? (I would assume yes?)

Thanks.

EDIT: Oops, I thought I put this in the engine section... My bad..
