Futaba is good stuff. You might want to look at the Airtronics line from the 94357 on up to the newer 94362 and everything in between. I have been useing the same servos for up to 6 years in a few cars and no probs what so ever. They are also analog and will draw less amps from your battery making your charge last longer then digital. Just something to consider. These are in the 100-120 dollar range. Lots of choices for sure. I've always been happy with both Futaba and Airtroncs stuff. Can't go wrong either way really. I'm just an airtronics guy is all.

I have decided on the BLS451s. Anyone know where I can get them cheap? Cheapest I have seen are $90 each.

I have been using sanwa erg vz servos for 10 months now in my buggy with no dramas and hitecs in tourer with no probs. Alot of people at the track use ace servos. What do you guys think of them. I have seen quite a few of them let go.

That's already cheap BTW, what is the spec rating ??

I bought JR DS8711 from Horizon Hobby $139.99 . This is for my Xray XT8 truck. It's 31kg or 430oz of torque muscle @ 16 sec.

the sanwas are sick, probably my favorite servo. Think I'll trick out the buggy with a couple after the engine upgrade

Graham, i think $240 oz landed is wrong dude. you can get them for about $120 to $140 landed from ebay.

best setup i recon is the VZ on throttle and the KO propo low profile on the steering.

also, looks like you are typing out your signature dude....if you need help with making the signature come up automatically PM or call me man, it's easy and it gets placed automatically after your post every time you write a message.

This is just my opinion to answer your questions:

what upgrade : front cvd, titanium screws ( 2mm longer ) for holding chassis and bulkheads connections, titanium pivot balls.

what spare parts : belts, bearings, front lower suspension arms, steering knuckles, rear uprights, air filters, glow plugs, novarossi or mugen seiki brands after run oil.

what body : mazda 6 with 35 or 37 tires

what engine : OS .12TZ 5 ports or Novarossi plus 12 5 ports ( not EFRA legal ). If you want EFRA legal, go with 3 ports like OS 12TZ Speed Tuned.

what servo : low budget : Futaba S9451 x2, high budget : Sanwa ERG-VZ or VX x2.

Buy "Y" cable extension for the place of doing plug in- plug out the battery, instead doing it over and over again directly into receiver.

get the MTX-4R and you don't need any upgrade. if just the MTX-4, gets parts for Gear diff. , front CVD (rear if you want all) and Alu. wheel adapter.

spare part: belt, gear, plastic part of suspension arms and bearing. extra screwz just in case.

35~38 tires for low grid surface, body is all depend on your driving style, Mazda 6, IS250, and Stratus 3. I like IS250, I run in parking lot

get a milder motor since you run on low grip surface. stock setup will be a good starting point, but use front diff to gain some stability (my diff is 50k front and 10k rear)
