Spec-R R1

I will pull the drag brake out of the ESC and see how it goes. I'm runing this car in a gt class at a couple different tracks and I just went with +6 because that is what my LHS had in stock.
I forgot to mention that I also installed the low friction belts on my car. The drivetrain is very free. The belts are adjusted on the loose side. The drivetrain on this rolls out better than my VBC

Finally done building it.
I had to use a spacer for the front for VTA wheels.
I love the battery holder
The only thing so far.... has been the turnbuckles coming off when I try to adjust the lenght. Do they come off easily during the race if you bump something?
*The rear toe in the picture was like 4.5º. I changed them to 3º.

I also did this mod (thanks for the idea) but when I tested my car, I noticed that I have problem with grip on my right rear tire. so I reconfigured the batt placement and add some weight up front to replicate the weight of the servo (well sort of...) And this is what i ended up, its working very well now...
sorry for the big pics..
cheers!

Nice work! After driving it for a while I ended up putting the speed control right behind the battery. It is balanced like yhat.

I think the Spec-R springs are real close to the XRay springs.
I hand tested the white ones from the kit and they did feel right about in the middle of the Blue and Gold AE springs I had. And the red Spec-R springs are super hard. So the chart is probably right there too.

What they should do is include the alum spur/belt gears and charge MORE for the ultra light lower rotating mass plastic ones
