You know the protoform vinyl fender protectors really help strengthen the fender wells. Take the excess vinyl and cut some pieces for the front splitter. Bodies last a long time. Use them in TC and 1/12.

Yes, there is room for the shock tower and a nice flat surface for the body posts.

This all depends on the needs of your track conditions and preferred driving style. We've had succes with as little as 2mm (Rick Hohwart won 2017 ROAR Nats like this) or as high as 10-12mm (Ronald Volker's 2018 Worlds TQ). A good starting point would be 4mm from center, and you can experiment from there.

This may sound like a stupid question but what reference point do you use as center ? The center of the wheel versus the center of the body wheel well ?
