today i had the second race with the RM-01 and managed to get the 3th place on the grid to start the finales.
the car runs great and still nobody expects the car to be a tamiya
Still need a little more training to get into the high tempo

I saw a picture, although a small picture, in the latest Tamiya RC Perfect Guide 2013 showing that the rearwing is mounted on the rearpart of the body using a piece a of lexan and not on the rearpod as per the C-series.

Got another link? The one posted above isn't working for me. The parts look of the same design in the pictures I have seen. I don't have a real RM-01 to check with, though even if intended to be used differently I reckon it wouldn't be too difficult to make it work C-series style with a little work.

What is the max battery size that will fit in this chassis?

I mean max external size of the battery, we are looking at making a spec class and would like to run 2s batteries, so i need the max size of the battery compartment to see what we can find that will fit.

2s is going to be a bit much for such a light chassis. It is a lot faster than the old 4 cell and a good bit faster than the old 6 cell NiMh configurations. Your best sticking to the standard 1s configuration that the rest of the world is using.

Only reason is we run a pretty big track where the mod cars are doing 125/130kmh down the front straight. I guess start with 1s and see how it runs.
