Ihobby has really gone down hill the last few years. back in the 90's it was quite a show with almost every company you could think of.

Well they are not there so they are not showing anything new there. Darn play on words. :-)

Here is a list of exhibitor's.

I don't think this year was lipo heaven like last year was.

Yes, we were actually planning on going over there, but after seeing the exhibitor list, it seemed this year is not the year to go.

I noticed that too. If they stick to that layout, where would the receiver and speedo be placed?

Can't speak for everyone, but yesteday was fun, first consumer day, it was pretty busy most of the day, got to meet lots of great racers from the Chicagoland area and more.

Today with the internet, and instant marketing online, via email, twitter, facebook, etc. And just plain the economy, its a little different type of show than 10-15 years ago. I think companies saved new releases for the holiday season (to announce at the show). Now its a more constant selling cycle.

i have to say I had a good time there as well. Was able to score some incredible deals from the emax company for some plane swag, they had a complete 50cc brushless replacement setup for a plane for $120. I bought a .40 size nitro brushless equivalent for $25.

also there was alot of activitys for kids which was really cool.

The Slash 4x4 was introduced around this time last year and it really took off. I'm surprised no other big company has intro'd their own version yet this year. You hear about prototypes running around but that's about it. C'mon AE,Losi, HPI hurry up!
