Only put enough weight at the corners to balance the left to right. Any weight still needed to make minimum weight should be added as centerline as possible.

I have 60-70g bolted onto my car to make minimum. I believe my car balanced left to right with just 7g in front of and 14g behind the battery. The rest is centerline between the motor and servo. Depending on your electronics, lining up the ESC and RX with the edge of the chassis should leave plenty of room for bolting on weight and balances nicely.

I use 6000 and 7000 both ORCA and with no weight added to the car I can get it balanced perfect left and right. Obviously a little difference with the 6000 in the car but not enough to add weight since its perfect with the 7000
The orca 6000s are lighter than my 7000 reedys and the orca mod motors are lighter than the speedzone I'm currently using. My stock car will drop weight because I'm going to titanium screws, but might gain some back with the orca 7000s packs.

Are you making up your own class now to prove you are right?

The ORCA 6000's are 298 grams and the 7000s are 329 grams.

The TX motors are about 35 grams lighter than a D3.5 or Killshot motor. The idea is for mod to run the TX motor and the 6000 battery. Because you take 35 grams off of each side of the car and keep your balance.

That's the plan, just waiting on you to get the motors in.

We run a class in this area called scale spec that is a hybrid of USGT and VTA rules, with a 1450 min wt. Thats what Ed is referring to. Its a fun mashup of GT and vintage bodies, we run 25.5 on carpet and 21.5 outdoors
