Lastely, Tamiya had Teflon (white) friction discs as an option. 53149
also the ball type rear mount will take out some tbar flex if you need it. Also you dont have to worry about tracking issues with the stock setup, where the screws holding the T-bar to the main chassis can elongate and wear the tbar holes out over time.

Will that ball mount rear suspension kit work on the 104 car?

Wheels for rubber tires
What's a good choice for a rubber tire wheel for the f103? Other than stock.

Well it seems I either have to use the F104 front and rear or the F103 on both. Seems there is a big difference in width but I really like the F104 setup. Sigh...as soon as this project is ready to go Im going to try CRC tires on the black carpet. The traction is up yet but we'll see how she does.

When I last ran 103 rubber we used 545 rears with 547 fronts in warmer weather. I dont recall ever trying the then new hard rears but i would say the key is to use a medium front. Even on 104 rubber at our permanent outdoor track the soft fronts are unracable when it heats up.

Yes it is narrower, unless its the wide f104 like the wolf, it has the f103 front end.

High points: builds fast.
Low points: body is very hard to build. Paint is rare. Battery installation method means the radio trays are movable, and flexible. Battery pocket will not acomadate rectangular packs if you don't build the car around the battery... Requires low profile plugs to use a LiPo pack.
It wasn't a hard build... But it was hard to get set up.

In fact, the base F104 kit comes with the F103 rear axle setup. But different motor mounts/rear pod.I have heard though that those are somewhat compatible on the t-plates.

Yeah I put the F104 rear axle assembly on since I like how it works. Also, I read about putting a 1mm spacer on the front arm between the arms and the wing but where do I find 1mm m4 spacers? I tried to use 5 .2mm spacers but it was a major PIA to get the wing on so I gave up.
