Default Hey AE Guys

OK Losi's got there new 1/8 scale coming out pretty soon i was just wondering if and when Associated was going to come out with one. I just hope its not funky looking like the losi drive train. I mean its a good idea and all to get it the CG more in the center of the car, but i'm still not sold on it. Hopfully AE's will be nice if it happens.

I think that AE could build a more refined 1/8 than the EB4 S3. I dunno... Just my .02

ok let me refine my question a little, when will AE come out with a buggy that doesn't take a couple hundred dollars to make it worth running. and that carries the world class AE name.

IMO, never. I don't think they will ever make a 1/8 buggy and if they do it will be a kit and it will cost that much. If RTR then maybe $100 to get it up. They have TTR so why another buggy?
They are too many buggies anyway, I wish 1/10 would get large again.

yeah really, associated needs to bring out a new 1/10 gas truck before an 1/8 scale, make the class more popular and make the big races mean something.

From what I've heard, and these are just rumors...the gas truck is essentially completed, probably just working on compiling parts to send to shops, and waiting for the right time to debut the new truck.

I've also heard (from pretty reputable sources) that they've already started tooling for the new 1/8th scale buggy.

Tebo confirmed a few months ago that they are working on a new GT. They have probably actually started testing them by now I would think. I know that when he let that slip a few months back no body had driven it yet. I sure hope its out soon, I'd love to race 1/10th GT this year, and I certainly wont be running a Losi, or the 'ol GT.

A new 10th truck would be good but they really don't need it. The old one is still extremly completitive and can run circles around the AD2. I think the need a factory 1/8 buggy. I say a near poduction Losi 8ight at revelations tonight and it looked pretty competitive so i guess well just have to see. If they do come with a new 10th truck it should be pretty unstoppable.

What they need to make is an 1/8th scale stadium truck (truggy). That is where things are heading, you get the best of the buggy and the monster truck in one package.

Sure the GT "can" run circles around an AD2, if your Tebo. For us normal guys its a pretty hard to drive truck, or at least thats what I think. Its not even half the truck the T4 is. The AD2 is a lot easier to drive comparitively (imo). I really hope that the new AE truck has the forward swept front arms like the T4, they rock, so much less lawn darting!

The Gt can be easy to drive you just need to get the front end a little wider. Be it converting the front to the T4 design or just the extended front Axles. Or you just need some practice and you'll be fast. An AE Truggy Would be a good idea too.

I have heard that the AE 1/8th buggy is a certainty. It will have drivetrain components from TTR but the chassis/suspension will be all AE.

I do not believe Ae will release a new 1/8th scale buggy...

Thunder Tiger already has to deal with the new 1/8th Losi taking away a big chunk of the buggy market..

No way they would allow losing even more Thunder Tiger customer`s to Ae !

If anything a new ThunderTiger 1/8 would be coming , not a Ae....

Just watch....
