Default diff oils

Hey guys still kinda new to rc. Getting ready to change my diff oils in my Losi 8. When yall change the oils do you just dump out & refill or do you clean the case & gears. If so what do you use to clean them with. Ive been told to use brake cleaner. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks,

I just turn mine over and then work on another area of the car for a while. I then use a rag or paper towel to get any excess but not all of the time do I do that. If the oil is dirty and "thick" and not coming out I would just use an old rag and wipe everything down. That is how I do it.

I soak all the metal parts in NAPTHA to clean them before inspecting the parts.

It is a cleaning solvent used in automotive, motorcycle and small engine repair shops. I buy it at the local hardware store.

Also I misspelled the name. The correct spelling is NAPHTHA.
