Default Waterproof options?

Most of my time is spent diggin mudd holes. Is the vxl my best waterproof option? I want something I can spray down with the hose so my g/f doesn't kill me for dragging mud in the house.

Viper VTX sensored competition brushless speed controls (see 2nd attachment)
-high performance speed controls to cover everything from 1/12 to 1/8 vehicles.
-extremely high quality MOSFETs for the most power and current load
-the first available will be the long awaited VTX10 and VTX10R (ETA - late December)
-the VTX10 and VTX10R are 2-4s capable competition 1/10 speed controls for mod and stock, boosted or non boosted
-the 10R has dual power boards and twice as many FETs as the 10. This gives it even lower resistance and roughly twice as much current capacity!
-the VTX8 will be our 1/8 esc
-we will have a 1-2s capable onroad oriented speed control available shortly after the Vtrax10 and 10R.
-1s capable esc will have built in voltage boost BEC circuitry
-aluminum waterproof case
-365 day warranty
-laser engraved, no stickers!
-no fan necessary (but we'll have one optional if you just must)*fan will be standard on the 1/8 esc.
-super low resistance high grade circuit boards provide the best possible foundation for one of the cleanest esc codes to hit the market. What's this mean? The CPU never lags for the most precise throttle feel.
-5.0v-7.0v programmable BEC voltage (0.1v increments)
-ultra small footprint with compact solder tabs to minimize area
-optional bracket to mount capacitors directly on top of esc, further minimizing chassis real estate.
-button style switch that can be mounted in any orientation without fear of being turned off in a crash.
-Program and update all Viper esc's without removing the rx connector.
-95% of programming adjustments are done through Viper's ProGauge. A hand held multi-tool that allows you to see and change your esc settings on its 32 character screen, without even shutting your vehicle off.
-USB link will be offered for firmware updates and extreme high end speed control tuning.
-10 different custom profiles can be saved on one esc.
-all settings can be adjusted with the highest precision. Often 1% increments!
-ProGauge will be included with all Viper speed controls!

While the "aluminum case" may be waterproof, I'd be careful where I run it...all the leads are still exposed. Getting moisture in there while running doesn't sound like a good idea.

I personally don't know of any other waterproof system, but there may be some out there.

I havent seen or heard of anyone "testing" the waterproofing of the viper products I will pass this question to an appropriate person to ask.

Yes the VTX10 and VTX10R are waterproof controllers. The entire thing is waterproofed by filling the esc with glue, as is the common concept for most waterproof electronics. So please, feel free to test away

What about the Flux Vapor from the HPI E-Firestorm?
http://www.hpiracing.com/kitinfo/105878/
It looks like a CC Sidewinder, but is claimed to be waterproof.

Hard part is finding it outside the kit.

What is the deal with that? It's been out for a few months now(in kit form) right? I emailed Castle I'd guess a month ago and never got a reply either. As much as I've loved my Traxxas stuff and the support they've given me, This would be a lot better setup for my gf's new truck.
