Default INS Box Filters??

Noticed Novarossi makes two, #30003 & #30004. Anyone tested them? One better than the other? What's the difference between the two? Who else makes them? Is another brands better than one of these? .... anyone .....

The one that ends is 3 is for 1/8 scale
the one that ends in 4 is for sedan 200mm.

Hope this helps,

Yes, thanks. Found that RB makes one also, #01291-6. Now I just have to find someone that has them or can get one before the pre-worlds race.

Thanks again.

Xceed has a nice lightweight INS Box. 103008 is clear and 103009 is black.

Hi,

Novarossi and RB Ins boxes are the same.
Xceed's one is different, lighter and I think cheaper.

Thanks everyone ... BTW ... does running one cause you to have to tweak the tuning? If so, does it cause the motor to run leaner or richer?

I do not know if RB did make a swich but normally the (black) RB was a Picco box.

And yes, with or without a box you will notice some small tuning changes

My black RB box is NOT a Nova. Maybe they have changed up since then though.

None of the INS boxes shows any numbers, however it says Approved by Ifmar - Efra or IFMAR/EFRA APPROVED.

The missing numbers was one of the things I complained about at the EFRA AGM. There are to much boxes and yet also only for 1/10 that a better listing is needed.

The new 1/10 INS-boxes from Novarossi and RB are the same. The only difference is the color.
They are smaller than the old 1/8 box from Novarossi.

I believe the one is sold as Serpent and the other is sold as Xceed.
