Hey Race fans

We have a new on road track here in town. Im been out testing and cant seem to get traction to take high speed turns. Ive been racing on dirt for the last 5 years. So im not a board runner as a norm . The car pushs alot going in. Will a one way or spool help?

Ive tried the following

foam tires, not sure of the compound. rubber tires, they are the 24r.
Ive changed ride height a few times.
tried stiff front and stiff rear alot of different setting.

Ive ordered a set up board and different compunt tires. Ive also ordered a tc5.

Im running a tc4 with the penguin chassis.

Forget foam tires for concrete. Rubber tires work better, softer compounds than you'd use on asphalt will help.

Go softer on the suspension rather than harder. a little more ride height than usual can be helpful too.

What rubber tires work on concrete? 24?

I know tamiya's M Grip does the job but it's a 26mm (width)....

Just my opinion, how about to try RP tyres with non-RP thick insert and maybe(if you can find), old version JACO preglued rubberz?

26mm rims are still available, I'd give those Tamiyas a shot. I liked Sorex 20 and 24 with soft inserts on concrete too.

Sway bars would be counter-productive in this case. They don't improve grip, they take grip away. THe reason I suggested a higher than usual ride height was to make the car lean more in the corner, which transfers more weight and increases grip... the sway bars are more for high-grip surfaces.

rp30's seem to work great on concrete..wipe them with wd40

Don't try swaybar on low traction and bumpy asphalt and on any concrete.
Then try using softer springs and lighter shock oil.

Why using WD40, if just cleaning why not tyre cleaner like YOKOMO or motor cleaner?

I used to run on concrete. It was outdoors and was not the smooth type. Traction always sucked... just didn't suck as much with new tires. RP 30's were tire of choice. I would venture to say that Jaco blues would be pretty solid alternative. I never tried it but im not so sure I would use wd 40... Buggy grip em and you will be fine. Make sure you run a higher ride height if it has the seams with the black crap in between. They rarely create a smooth transition from slab to slab.
