Need to know what the track layout is like before anyone can comment as to which is the best stock motor. Do you want RPM, torque, both? But if you are ever in doubt, go with the Monster.

But if you want a motor thats truly RTR, then I'd suggest a Fantom stock motor (built from a monster stock) as they have already done the work for you and they just seem to have more rpm than a standard monster stock pro.
You can actually pay attention to the dyno printout on the Fantom can. Look for one that has 100+ torque, 21k+ rpm & 65w+ power and all you'll need is good gearing (anywhere from 22k to 27k rollout, depending on tire/track type)

stuff like that really depends on the track and what your running it in. for example you may want a motor with nice low end power for a small tight track and a motor with high rpms for a large flowing track personaly i think the monster is the best all around motor

Are the standard Trinity stock motors balanced? Or just the pro's?

I pretty much run all-Trinity motors but I am not a fan of their stocks. My favorite is the Integy Matrix Pro

I agree with one of the previous posts: it all depends upon the track. If it’s a small, tight track, then go with a P2K2 (the most powerful stock motor of them all). If it’s a huge track, then go with a Green Machine. I really don't see any need for a Monster - it is such a mediocre motor, doing nothing exceptionally well.

Now on to my question: I was at a big electric race at my track today (see the link in my signature for a track picture) and some guy showed up and his stocker smoked me. I have a Monster Stock Pro and I've had success with it but man this guy just showed up with a stocker and the thing flew. Yes, gearing makes a monumental difference in speed, but I have it geared very well. Not too little yet not too much.
Since I needed more speed and it was a big race, I quickly geared up. Burned the motor.
Is the green machine the current stocker with the most RPM? I have heard EPICs are good..
I guess it's semi-personal opinion.
