My 4000 mah lipos fit with very little modification. To get my SMC 5200 to fit it will take some work.

You could also get a kyosho laser sp which uses a stick pack.

The laser would be hard to find for under $200 used, but I got my XXX4 for under $200.

the XXX-4 has fragile fragile Front A-Arms but it is easier to put any battery of your choosing into it. If you take XXX-CR Front Graphite arms and reverse them they will fit the XXX-4 and will not break.

the battery fits right along the left side, Ive had the orion 3200 on up to the reedy 5000 stick on the side.

Found a few cheap for under 200 on ebay just now.

Ive heard many times over and over from a few racing legends, the Losi xx4 has been and is the best designed 4 wheel out there.
You look at the losi 8 and its a blown up XX4.

that depends if its clapped out or not. you might have to spend another 100 to get it up to par or you might get lucky and its fine. those 2 i put up looked really nice. but it is up to you im just trying to help you out. the losi is cool but for those prices on the kyosho you cant really beat it.

that one on ebay with the 2 losi xx-4 is nice if you can get it for around that price.

you really dont when buying used. but if you look at pics and its clean like those two i put up odds are its in good condition. also if you get some crucial spare parts arms bushings tranny parts little things like that it usually means they took care of it. also those k cars have been up for a while offer them 175-200 see what they say. you never know. plus the xx-4 need alot of dremeling i mean alot i know guys that are losi drivers and they told me you need to dremel it out to get it to work better then it does.

dremel out the drivetrain area? I will be running a mod motor, that is my Novak Velociti 3.5R till I get a less powerful motor, so i wouldnt want to have to put money into broken drivetrain parts.

not sure on everything like i said i run a sp but they definately dremel out the belt box and some other areas. i just know they mod it out. like i said imo i wouldent even consider the xx-4 i would go with the sp or the fs if you dont mind getting a saddle pack. my second choice would be the b44 but i dont like ae shocks at all. and if you're gonna bash i would think you would want to stay away from belt drive cars cause anything can get in the belts and then you need to fix it. but thats my opinion.
