If you guys want information on the store address, please pm me.

Yes, the roll centers are low in stock form. You have to se shims to space it up. Currently I am running them spaced up 1mm.

Christian I would be interested in some large diameter shims to use that way theirs not as much leverage against the chassis on impact .

It was driving me bonkers previously with like 125% one direction, and 145%+ the other, with the T4 manual suggested linkage length and setup angles just seeming all wrong...
(This is all with a Savox 1252 servo)
How do you have yours set up? I'm running an mt4 with a 1251 and my end points are 115/145 to get them even.

The standard XRAY lower suspension shims should work great, the ones that start with part number 30313, such as 303132.

The Spec-r shims at .7mm should work nicely as well.

Justin, shims for what? Spacing the chassis blocks up?

We will have slotted shims available separately for this purpose. They will be available in 0.5 and 1mm thickness.

It's a little tricky, first step is to ignore the build manuals link length of 47mm, and aim to make one around 42mm, in my case that meant cutting down the ball joints in length, and also cutting the link rods threads down to half on each end.

After that it's about getting as close as you can to a perfect right angle off servo arm to link rod down to rack, with the Xray servo saver, use inner top hole, with servo saver still dead vertical, if using something else, adjust to suit.

I ha e never really thought about it . but I have always found myself cutting that particular turnbuckle . I find my cars close to same epa L/R.. But never really thought much about it . makes since to keep epa same on both sides that way ur servo speed is the same L/R

Bishop, is your car less sensitive around neutral now? Or more? Or no difference?

If you want to improve the 'resolution' of the servo movement and make it more precise just put the servo link in the lower hole on the servo saver.

You need to increase the EPA and shave a little off the servo saver, but you definitely won't have trouble with the link being anywhere near the top deck.

Skiddins,

Is the requirement to shave the servo saver due to the additional EPA causing it to bind on the steering post and, at the extreme, causing chassis flex?

Regards,
Brent

I'm not sure, only did this last night, and the whole car is torn down now to prep it for an event, but with the uneven throw lengths, last I drove it the car it did feel less sensitive in steering one direction than the other, which bothered me, hence being somewhat determined to sort it out.

Actually I also went one step further earlier today, and while checking the VR settings on the MT4, noticed it was getting more travel in one direction by just a little bit, so used the set screw on the wheel to reduce travel, so now have even VR settings left/right (It's pot settings vs actual mechanical travel), this in effect changed my travel again, so linkage length is up to around 42.5mm now, could maybe go out to 43mm, I'll see how the travels look when I put the car on a setup station, and do final tweaks then.

And yes, I do get overly obsessed with these things...

Yes, because I had to increase the EPA, the saver can touch the steering post.

Few minutes with a Dremel and problem solved

Quick pic, and on mine with this setup, the servo saver will touch the steering post just about the same time your hitting full lock, so not a big deal, depending though on if your trying for more steering travel.
