My sterring servo is mounted to both the chasis and the radio plate. I have had 0 problems with the steering servo, but I have blown two throttle servos.

I attach to both ratio tray and chassis. Only servos I have killed in my RC years where S3003 and Hitec. Once I went KO (about 3 months into my R/C) no dead servos since (~4 years now). Digitals on steering, Analog servos on Throttle.

I did some research and found your problem though..
I just have one question, was it another crappy brand servo? hehehe
If it wasn't (a hitec) you might have steering binding or end travel too far?

Giggles on the Hitec thing. Neither of the sevos on the LD3 were Hitec. I blew a Bluebird (cracked case, bent an internal shaft on one of the servo gears) and a Futaba digital (I'll take it apart at some point to see if the same thing happened). Endpoints set so they don't overextend. Then again, trying to nurse a broken car around a track could cause some strain.

please help i cant line up my cd3 to my q world s/box
i have tried every posable angle the only way i can see it fit
is to cut/drill an modify and that i dont want to do.. has any one got pics on how there QWORLD BOXES ARE SET UP ??? the no on it is 10243

hi i have a Q World box and i did drill the screw holes out slightly to fit it,i have been using it with my CD3 Pro for the last year and a half, the only thing is the right rear wheel is very close to the box, heres a pic.

I know, nice try. Of course, I run this weekend (last race of the season), so it's just about time for something to go bad. If the engine goes, I have another one. Pipe? Got one of those. Gears, arms, knuckles, shock towers? Affirmative. Servo? I'm dead in the water.

re: the futaba, not that I own one I believed these where ok, it was not used on the thottle was it? (digitals for steering, analog for throttle)

I use the small OFNA box for my CD3 Pro car and CD3 RTR cars. It helps setting up the chassis alignment if you have a blank chassis plate available.

The right wheels are close to the starter box just because it has to be offset to align the flywheel to the starter wheel.

I also mounted and angle bracket on each side to ensure chassis alignment.
If I had one mounted on the rear the box would be perfect.

I also clearenced the flywheel access area of the chassis with my dremel tool.

Shouldn't be too much of a problem with that box, as it was designed for engines offset to the right. I set the front guide in between the chasis and the lower arms and moved it forward until the starter wheel was under the flywheel. Leave the posts semi-loose so you can adjust thel fore and aft and left and right until you get it just right and the starter wheel doesn't rub the chasis, then tighten the front and rear posts up. I don't think mine sits too far on either side (then again I didn't think to check, either), and I didn't have to grind the chasis at all. It's a trial and error thing, but you should be able to get it with a little time.
