This has to do with all the questions about loose on power off the corner that alot of people were complaining about last week.
Just to let other know. I was able to run my car last night with the spool in it and found that the spool would not stay tight. And as a result the car spun out under breaking and off the corner on power. Really had to baby the car around the track. I finally said F*** it and went Kinwald on it, Replaced the spool with a locked down diff. Went from the middle of the pack in the main to lapping the field for the win. Made a huge diffenace. Just thought I would throw that out there for everybody to see if anyone else has fought this.

I am using I think the 116, but could not tell you at the moment what pinion since I am at work and car is at home. I know I am pretty close to the Novak recommended 4.5 FDR.

But the best and cheap thing you can do is build one by yourself.
Simply use the stok washer that come whit Type R but replace the 6 stok balls 1/16" whith 10 ceramic balls 1/16"

I need som ehelp figuring out what gearing to run. I am running ona a tight apsaslt track and I need more off the line speed. I am running a losi 118 tooth spur and the stock pullies and rubber tires, and a 27 turn stock motor. Any suggestions on a pinion\ spur combo? I need off the line speed badly.

Hey all,
since it is finally summer time (schools out, YAY!!!) , i had time to completely dissable my car and clean everything that gets ignored even after weekly routine maintenence.
What i found was astonishing,
After every run i check to see if my chassis is tweak free, i set my ride height, droop, check for excess play, etc, etc.
When recently i had my car in kit form (from near complete dissasembly) i checked to see if my chassis was strait, as it was spot on, and i did the same with the top deck,
here's the problem though,
After i got everything assembled, i check to see if my chassis was still perfectly flat, it wasn't.
i thought, no big deal, i'll just loosen the top deck and tighten it down when the chassis is perfectly flat,
it didn't work.
What i came to realise was that the standoffs (or chassis supports, as losi calls them) were bent, ALL OF THEM
I was pretty upset considering they are near to 20 bucks for two.
I do consider myself as a pretty good driver, and i can't remember the last time i broke something.
So is it just me? They are the same exact ones i got with the kit nearly a touch more than a year ago (though this isn't my first complete teardown of the car)
or are these things pretty frigile?
I can bend them easily with some pliers, it seems too easy in fact.
Has anybody ever had this problem? are there any stronger peices for the car?
Sorry for the rant, and thanks for your time.
