These are pretty nice, just a little short for 1/8 scale work. MIP/Thorp are prob
the best at any price but not everyone loves the handles.

Are you building a tool kit for 1/8 scale or 1/10?

As far as a cordless driver goes I love this one. A good cordless driver will change your approach to working on your car. Your wrists will thank you!

Dynamite red handle 1.5, 2.0, 2.5mm hex wrench set is the best bang for the buck imo. The tips round off quicker than the MIPs but it's easy to grind them down like new every couple of months.

Also get a good lexan reamer. If you do a lot of your own bodies you'll wonder why you didn't get one sooner.

Spend that little bit extra and get Hudy tools. Never had an issue with mine. Also get the hudy power tool bits and a milwaukee 12v driver. Wont look back at all. Worst thing you can do is get cheap tools, will cost you more in the long run, via stripped screws and stripped tools.

Hudy all the way... Totally worth the extra investment. I wish I would have skipped the step of buying the cheaper ones first.

any tool ive ever had with an aluminum handle and replaceable tip with a setscrew to hold it together ive broken at least one from the pack, losi,dynamite,hudy,arrowmax,ae,and the ebay cheapies. maybe if i jb welded them together they would stand up to continuous torquing but even red loctite didnt help on most of them.
i prefer the molded handles

+1 i love my mip tools. my first tools was hudy, tekno then MIP is the great tools so far.

Look at exceed.
I would always say hudy but exceed is a rarely know about and a good brand that most people don't even know about..other than that mip has always been the go too tool
