Q [QUOTE=veecee;15008127]Just be aware a lot of the kits people are talking about were pre-production kits. I've had no issues with mine. The fit and finish of the metal parts are superb in my opinion - far exceeded my expectation. I was particularly impressed with the way the one-piece bulkheads keyed into the chassis. The diff is super smooth and totally leak free.
Having owned Yokomos for the last 4 years, I actually thought the quality of the Xpress was better than the Yokomo. My BD8 had a score mark inside one of the shock bodies, diffs that leak no matter how you build them, spool cups that wore quickly. My RTC rear arms needed an extra 0.3mm worth of shims to take up the slop (compared to non-RTC rear arms)!
So far I have no regrets moving from Yokomo to Xpress

With the large amount of aluminum used in this car, I'm concerned that it may be on the heavy side. Can anyone comment on this? Very nice looking car.

First outing
Just wanted to update with my first outing for the new car. I race on large outdoor medium grip track. The usual layout was changed to a more flowing and bigger layout (full back straight). I used the Xpress 36 pre mount tire.
The car was good to start with and got better every run. I used the kit supplied springs with some minor changes to the kit setup. (13.5t blinky class)
Performance was certainly 'up there' and definitely matched the looks and quality of the build. So far a great car all round! Have plenty more to try and test this weekend coming. (weather pending).
Leonard.

Just picked up one of these to play around with. Got a chance to watch a friend of mine race his weekend before last and it looked really good. He's coming back from about a 5 year break from onroad racing and was able to qualify 11th out of about 35 to 40 people with only 1 day on the car. This speaks volumes for this car as I know this guy and his skillls are hurting. I'm getting a used car so the first thing I'm going to do is rebuild it....any build tips/gotchas I should look out for?
