Default 1/8 scale and ABS ?

How many of you guys use ABS and are there real benefits in doing so ? I ran for years without it but thinking of getting a radio with ABS and trying it out.

Those that run with ABS do you run it for all the time or depending on track layout ?

Have it, never use it. All it does is cycle the servo which is not really ABS and very hard on servos. EPA and good driving are all you need.

The ABS function does nog give a "feeling" with the brakes so most drivers do not use it.

A friend did create in the past a real ABS on his car. A disc with small holes, a lightbeam through it and a pulse detector connected to a servocontroler. It worked for real but it took a lot of efford from the servo giving it a short life.

I personally do set the full brake close to blocking so it will never block.

The ABS feature in the wet on a 190mm Electric TC is great for end of my tracks big straight. otherwise it's useless on my IC just "pumping" the brakes is sufficent to stop a spin.
