Advice on first kit?
Hello, my name's Dakota.
I'm new to the hobby, and plan on being here for a while.
I just recently purchased a 1/16 e-revo VXL.
Shortly after, I had the whole thing torn apart, and rebuilt.
Just to understand it a bit more.
Which made me want to build my own.
So, I've been looking at touring car kits, but I'm not exactly sure what I should get.
I mostly plan on running it outside on my street, and maybe racing a few friends of mine in parking lots and such things.
So, I'm looking for a good chassis that will hold up to the abuse of small pebbles, and such.
I'm also curious as to what would be the right motor/esc for said project.

Well, my budget will be anywhere from 600-700.
I know for sure I'll have to order stuff online, as well.
I'm fine with that.

I really like my Tamiya TA05v.2.
But you probably will want to put something on the bottom to avoid pebbles jaming it up.
With your price range, you can get the TA05v.2 R kit. It come's with a lot of upgrades and you will have $ left over for more upgrades or whatever..
Or if you change your ind and want to go cheaper, the Tamiya M05(most have mini cooper bodies) Chasis won't touch pebbles and are around 100-200 and almost never break!
