Questions?? Beginner looking for a little help

I had a pretty cool rc buggy when I was a kid (if memory serves me correctly, it was a Fox), but that was years ago. I now have two 11 yr old boys (twins) and I'm thinking that they would enjoy having cars of their own. Due to their age, I don't want to spend a ton of money. I'm thinking less than $100 (each) on their cars and up to $250 on mine. I'm also thinking that I may want to try a nitro car for myself.

Any help on models in this price range, good websites to browse, etc. is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Not sure what kind of cars you can find for $100. One thing about getting into this hobby is things are not cheap at all.

losi strike rtr is about 120ish i think?
although, if it were me, i would get a slash 2x4 for the kids.
may cost a bit more than the losi but is a heck of a lot more truck for the money

Your Fox back in the day was more than your $100 budget, this hobby hasn't gotten any cheaper over the years! 2wd Slash is about as inexpensive as they get for something that will be worth the money. About $200 plus support equipment which you will all need. Nitro for $250 ain't gonna happen if you actualy want it to run...IMO

I would stay far away from the Losi Strike, they are the biggest POS the industry has seen in many years, also IMO

For the kids...
Losi Strikes, Duratrax Evaders, Losi Mini T All can be bought from $99 to $130

I personlly am a Traxxas guy. But at $250 you could get a decent truck. Slash, Stampede, B4, T4, Firestorm etc etc
