Which seems to be the "best" buggy to get? I have the SP 1/8 combo and want to get a purpose built e buggy. Im thinking of either the AE or Hyper 9e.... I would like to get a kit since I have never built a kit and have been racing for a few years. The only thing that concerns me is that this whole e class is plateaued. Even though a few more manufactures have made buggies, none of them seem to be impressive. I don't like the HB Ve8 buggy with the motor,esc and batteries on one side and all the electronics on the other. Seems to be unbalanced in the pictures. Also the Kyosho is a rtr...... So what is everyone's thoughts??!!

Each different brand has its own advantage but I'll stick to my Caster. Twin batt setup ensures stability and great support.

Out of the current 1 Pack setups I have seen, I like this one the best due to how they have things layed out on the chassis.

I don't think there is a "best" buggy.
AE and LOSI have dominated the NEO09 electric, with many of the world's top drivers. HotBodies is the 1/8 nitro world champion and is releasing a redesigned and pretty cheap e-buggy (the VE8)
Caster and Hobao/Ofna seems better designed... And more "designed with brushless in mind"...
We will see if one of the above will crush the others, but I don t think that s gonna happen.

For the Caster buggy, I believe most people buy there parts online from holeshothobbies or I think stormer hobbies. hakmazter can better answer that for you.
For those interested in the the Hyper 9E, you can order parts from Nitrohouse, but I actually prefer to go through special-rc on ebay as the parts are cheaper and you get them very fast.
One thing to keep in mind with parts, in general the 1/8 stuff doesn't break like the 1/10 scale stuff. If you just stock up on the common items, you should be fine.
For those interested in the the Hyper 9E, you can order parts from Nitrohouse, but I actually prefer to go through special-rc on ebay as the parts are cheaper and you get them very fast.
One thing to keep in mind with parts, in general the 1/8 stuff doesn't break like the 1/10 scale stuff. If you just stock up on the common items, you should be fine.

Does the ofna buggy only accept one battery on the tray? Or can you fit 2 (2) cell batts side by side?

Been bashing my caster fusion pro for a few months now and have had plenty of 
moments but upon inspection never any damage.

from what I can tell, no for two reasons:
- The tray is about 45.7mm wide, dual lipos using my Diggity Designs 5300mah as a template would be too wide
- You would not be able to do the series wiring
Now, with that said, my diggity designs lipo sits down very snugly in the battery tray. The tray flexes slighly for this and really grips the pack. I would say if you have a battery that is standard ROAR width for 1/10, but is 4S pack high you will be fine.
Use the dimensions of the PolyRC 6000mah 4S pack as a reference of what does fit.

I have several Hobbywing BL setups and really like them. The ESCs are simple to adjust with the program box (simple LED number display). The motors are decent 2-pole motors. There are much better motors out there, but for the price, they work great and run much cooler than Feigaos. So far, the failures of the HW ESCs have been attributed to a known cause that can be avoided as opposed to failures of other ESCs that just go up in magic smoke (aka unknown). Overall, no more issues than any other brand. For the money, they're great. But customer service is not local and you need to contact HW in China if you need anything.
