Raced my this new truck for the first time sat night. I normally race in the novice class and the truck was so much faster (qualified first in novice) that I was bumped to the 4wd class with much faster drivers. Had fun and ended up finishing fourth 
for the night, again loving this truck. 
One thing I'm noticing though is after a good crash the steering will shift one way. I can then shift it back manually and something makes a clicking noise as it's shifted back. I thought it was my servo arm skipping but that checks fine. So then I tightened my servo saver and it still happens??

Most all of the parts will be in stock at places that ordered them in come the end of this month. Our warehouses are nearly fully stocked now as well so we should not run into an issue again.

It sounds alot like my venom pro.120A sensored/sensorless. But I think that is taking a pooh on me. With my 8.5 it just had no snap at all anymore. Put in my RS and the motor came back to life. I will be bumbed if my speedo took a crap because that was a rock solid reliable speedo.

2100kv 1/8th scale system? Yes you can without any problems. The only issue is some tracks make you race only on 2s, whereas a large can motor like a 2100kv will require a 3s to have any top end at all. It also makes your truck quite heavy. This isn't always a bad thing. On a loose track, the extra weight may help with stability at slower speeds. I'm running an 1/8th scale system and the advantage is gobs of torque and no overheating problems which some of the smaller systems have had issues with. But be warned, if your track only allows 2s, then an 1/8th scale system is a three legged dog on the straights, no offense to any 3-legged dogs out there 
Lastly, 1/8th scale esc's don't seem to care what servo you use, but some of the 1/10th scale esc's have had to use external BEC's or Glitchbusters when used with digital or high powered servos. If you decide to run an 1/8th scale system you'll have to cut off the little plastic motor cradle with a Dremel tool.

Haven't been following this thread for the last couple weks or so, busy at work. I did a search and went back 15 pages or so. Just wondering has LOSI or Horizon sent out updated pins yet? Been waiting for a month now. Also I see people are having heat issues still with the 14mm rotor in the Novak 4.5. I'm running a 14t pinion with the Havok sc pro and coming off at about 145 and can easily make a 10 min. main with a 5600mah lipo. I see guys running 18-20t pinions???

Nothing in this world is free, and sensored setups come at the cost of both heat and inefficency. So for her to tell you you will get longer run times with sensored, that is absured. I can't stand dealing with hobby shops, dealers, etc. that know less that us(consumers) do, and feed us crap to make a sale.

There are many benefits to sensorless and 4 pole. The reason racers don't like them is the inconsistancy. The motor does not alway do the same thing lap after lap so there is always a little bit of a guessing game in timing jumps and braking points. It is subtil but the better a driver you are the more you notice it. This is the reason sensored prevails for most racing.
I've tried to explain this to alot of guys at my home track that are good
drivers but have consistancy problems and it's like talking to a wall
Most people think you buy the cheapest little box you can stick in your
car/truck and it will drive just like a good ESC...
Theres alot of racers out there at all tracks I travel to that if they ran good
ESC's instead of junk they would blister the track.... Go figure?
