i was thinking the awesomatix could probably make a killer VTA car because of the corner speed. keep up the good works on the "left" coast!!

If your running plastic gears you need to play with the 0.1mm shims to get it to feel right. Do this without any grease/silicone installed.

If you buy the g05st/g06st combo you just slap the diff together and run it.

Please be careful at the final 1mm screwing of the AT23 gear case.
All inner gears should be aligned properly to avoid the teeth jamming.

I also read here that was reported by one of the A700 drivers that the combination of g06st and plastic gears (2 and 2) will make it a lot smoother. Haven't tried it yet, though.

The only thing I can figure is the 0r03 o-ring is what is making it too tight

Your correct.. It isn't in the manual. You use sh01 thin shims behind the big gears

OR03 is the big O-ring that seals the join between AT23 and AT24.

Do you mean OR05 maybe?

Could you please to measure the outer and the inner diameters of your OR05.
It should be JIS P4 o-ring sizes: 3,8/7,6mm.

I'd like to see your VTA setup too. My plan is to make my A700 a VTA car, and see if I can get a newer kit leading into carpet season.
