alucard13: Online, try Speedtechrc.com or Acehardwarehobbies.
com. The RB X12 piston/sleeve/rod will fit also (the sleeve has
exactly the same timing cuts as the MR12 sleeve).

Default Engine selection?

I need some advice. I have a MT-12 motor and need another motor for a second car. I am thinking of a MR-12. What do you guys think of the Trinity motors and do you have any suggestions?

I saw this motor on the Tower website Trinity Nova Rossi .12 Slide Carb SG Shaft. http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...p?&C=GCS&V=TRI They have so many it is hard to choose from any suggestions would be great. Speed Tech is out of stock on the MR-12 which I prefer since I know my MT-12 so well. Does anyone know where I can find a MR-12?

I would stick with the Mugen - even though the MR-12 is short-rod compared to the long-rod MT-12, mixtures and consistency should be close.

I try to stay away from anything with Trinity on it. They tend to be way overpriced and underquality, although they do sell all the NovaRossi branded motors.

The Mugen is a Rossi based motor that is NOT sold by Trinity which makes me like it much better. . .

Hey Boomer, In your opinion would you stick with the MT-12 or is there a big noticable difference in the MR-12?

The mt-12 is a torque engine and the mr-12 is an rpm engine so it just depends on the track. For smaller tracks I would stick with the mt-12 but for the larger tracks I would go with mr-12.

I think I will give the MR-12 a shot. What do I have to lose.

Mt12- long rod= more torque
Mr12- short rod= more rpm
Like stated above choose the motor for the track.

I have an MR12 and i love it. If my driving was better I could easily keep up with the pros where i race. I have plenty of speed (sometimes too much...hehehe).

I tend to be a torque kinda guy - gimme a big diesel, big v8, lots o' torque and I'm happy!

I'm running an MT12.

Really, my advice was boiling down to "stick with what you know" - the Rossi motors are good motors and you already know the Mugen motors so I would stay with them.

The other part of my advice was to stay away from that Evil Empire that is Trinity.

Hope it works out well!

Thanks for all your responses guys! But I tried to deal(OS12TR Turbo) with it again today and no luck. So, I'm going back to my standard OS12TR....w/c I could rely on...and no stalling issues...laterz
