Thumbs down

Im sure your tc5 will be just as fast if not faster. Im still waiting on my Neu motor. Its been 6 wks since I ordered it. They said they are still waiting on a stator. Maybe I should have went with Cordova. Probably would have been here by now.

Check out TP Power as well. They make very powerful motors and they're a lot cheaper than Neu.

I have considered TP motors but I have never seen anyone go fast with one. Have you had any good results?

I've seen a couple builds with them but usually 1/8 scale. the quality seems good. Stick with neu you will be glad you did..

So what did you change to break 130?

Im currently running the Leopard 3665 2680kv on 2 Nano Tech A Spec gen 1 4500 mah 3s (6s). Geared 49/45. The motor gets only a little warm after each pass. I want to gear up more but these gears are litterally the smallest spur and biggest pinion Robinson racing makes. Still trying to figure out how to gear higher.

Yes, I've had really great results with 2 of their motors. I have a 40x102mm in my 1/8 truggy and it's a beast. I don't have any data logs yet and I haven't run it on 8S yet. I'm waiting for Castle to release their new XL X ESC.

Custom works makes a adapter so you can use a spur gear for a pinion

Thanks for the tips fellas! Looks like RW has a 45t spur that would get my FDR down to 2.5 with the 45t pinion on there right now.

Default TC4 speed run 137 moh

Bringing back an old post, Have any of you guys made recent speed runs? I have been running a TC4 with mamba max pro/5700kv. With 3s have gone 100mph on 55/43 (3.19) FDR. 4s managed 107 mph not fully opened up. What bodies has anyone had good luck with? Thanks

I know i have made runs, and tc4 basher has also . they are on our youtube pages. check out the speed thread in here has some good videos. I ran 99mph on 2s. few weeks ago.. but bodies i like mccalister bodies, i have 2 different bodies. tc4 basher will chime in im sure on what he runs. also to go fast i reinforce my bodies with fiberglass as the will deform at high speed..

Here are a couple of my most recent tc4 speed run videos. My hardened steel rear diff broke on me at 124 mph this past Sunday. I lost brakes and coasted into a curb. It needs some repairs.

The body I run is a HPI FI McLaren that has also been reinforced.

Your speeds with the 5700kv mmp sound about rite. I had the same setup in my TC4 before and ran very similar speeds. Keep at it!

Default Speed run TC4

I checked out the you tube videos, Nice runs. So Philldoggg, and Tc4basher you are both in the 130s? What are the current limitations for you guys now? Out of Battery, motor power, gearing topped out, or just staying on the ground?
