Yeah, aluminum screws look good, but are bad news really... Until you have a head of one break off flush *inside the chassis* it's all good. When that happened to me, I just bought the new graphite chassis at that time. Forget trying to drill that puppy out and then making an even bigger hole to have to deal with!

No, I'm not coming I wish I was though! I'm sure I'll hear ALL about it when they get back! heh.
This may be a dumb question but anyhoo... Can I run the Off-Set hubs in the non-offset position? I don't see why not but I thought I'd ask.

Jitsu....yes they will fit in the outside holes but the CVD's will be on the verge of falling out of the outdrives....also that would make the rear end VERY wide compaired to the front.

So after some long and hard deliberation about which car should be my first touring, I'm gonna go with the XXX-S graphite....
Besides the obvious good elecs, batts and servo (which I already have) what are some of the must have hops I'm gonna need??
I already have a one way and a full set of springs on the list....anything else...trying to read this whole thread hurts!!
Thanks

Spool (solid front axle)
Advantages- on-power steering like that of a one-way, yet still retaining 4 wheel braking...
disadvatages- pushes off-power
requires additional tuning to regain some on-power steering
IRS spool
Advantages- solid aluminum, very durable
Disadvantages- HEAVY, can cause other catistrophic failure
Losi spool pads
Advatages- CHEAP$$$$, same effect as the irs unit
Disadvantages- can cause outdrives to fail in extreme situations
Simply put using the Losi spool pads in the factory diffs are a better option. Yes they can fail, but if they don't fail in these extreme crashes then other more expensive parts like your $25 CVD bones can be taken out easier.......

thanx for the reply..........
I didn't know about the losi pads( sounds funny )
please tell me how that works, and if you have any part #'s even better...
only reason i'm thinking about getting a spool is i'm sick of breaking one-way unit. well i haven't broken one in a long long time, but still it's very expensive to replace. (even tho i can replace only right or left side)
again thanx alot

Hello!!
I will be an owner of a XXX-S G+ in a few days!! Be patient with my queries, questions and favors. . . .
Basically from numerous, pages of this thread. It will rock box stock. I think the main hop up to do is change to Ti Screws all around. Is this advisable?
Thanks
Lem
