You buy it or you don't buy it. It doesn't matter what the reason is. How good a car is or can be is usually how much time you put into it. It can be the latest and greatest or a old car like a TC3, RS4, etc.

So is this the new permanent price for the car? not just a sale price?

old or not, looking at the design, its wayy better thought out than the 415 clones out there, with batteries on one side and motor on the other side. if i were to buy a car, old or not, i would buy this one. seriously, with everyone changing car every year, whats wrong with trying this one out for at least a year? the desing is so good it doesnt get outdated. other manufacturers change cars just for the sake of changing.

Losi has always made a damn good TC. The XXX-S is awesome and still is today. I got 2 graphite plus in mint condition. I had to get the Type-R go to along with them. How this car is soo perfect in everyway. It,s quiet, smooth and handles like nothing else. Losi didn't need to update this car but there is nothing to improve. It's already perfectly balanced. And now for 200 go find another TC with these features. Oh btw, the LCD in the front are excellent, silly smooth.

What do I need if I want to use universal 48P spur gears? Or do they have
48P spurs?

I Just saw this on the JRX-S R thread. Sounds like this is what you'll need.

Not so sure i agree with the XXX-S Graphite+ being a great car.

On the other hand this JRXS is a terrific car. If it was $300 it would STILL be a steal. Old or not it still wins races and just look at the weight balance alone, great design to have the motor (most cars do this now,) and the battery in the center.

Great car for the money and best bang for you buck by far on the market.

I think the JRX-S pro saden(the older version) uses 48pitch and looks like it will fit.

Well, we ran road course today. Had my first DNF in the 1st heat. Ball cup split & allowed the turnbuckle to come out. Got that fixed & adjusted. Won the 2nd & 3rd heats & TQ'd. In the main, I got away clean, but on the back stretch, I drifted out to the outside pipe & caught a pipe joint & proceeded to turn a nice 360 spin in front of the field. So after getting turned back around I was 6th. So I just drove. The car was just a little loose, but keeping a little throttle in it, it drove sweet, & was very fast. At the end, we were 1st.
THIS CAR IS AWESOME!

drsmooth...that sounds a bit like my night last night! I won all 3 Qualies and TQ'd against a field of T3/TC5/416's . In the main I made a few mistakes and was beaten by a friend of mine who is a very good driver ... but I finished second by about 1/2 a lap and was the only car in the Main to break a 9 sec lap!

Guys who "poo-poo" this car clearly have never driven one properly set up...for $199 it's almost a no-brainer for inexpensive TC racing!

Cheers,
Mike
