I will never gift any purchase
On here. Always get and invoice
For goods or services it's only
3 % for seller. 100.00 is only
3.00 so what is the big deal.
Don't gift any one you don't
Know plain an simple.
And if some one says they
Don't know how to send a
Invoice it's a red flag don't buy
It.

It's also against the rules and can get you suspended if you are a seller asking to be paid that way.

Sellers do it to make a little more $ but also because it severely limits your rights as a buyer.

I'm sure I could figure it out and not have an issue with sending an invoice. but I can't remember EVER sending one.

If I'm a red flag as a seller, this whole place is in trouble

I find that REALLY funny Why, because I know some of the guys on here. Even if we just talk about mods. Cpt.A, Marcos, site admin Matt. You do NOT want these guys knocking on your door. Trust me, they're NOT your typical internet "geek"

LOL, that's exactly what I thought but I didn't want to be the first to come out and say it. A member since 1/1/2015..., isn't that roughly when his account got suspended?

And it looks like his first post was in the WTB section looking for a HB D413 or someone willing to trade his B44.2 for it. It appears the thread is gone now but I found it by Googling the username. Not sure if he deleted it or the higher ups caught it.

This whole post just serves as a reminder that everyone needs to be careful dealing with anyone on the web, whether it be here at RC Tech, or any of the other forums you may use. Lesson learned is to not deal with anyone that wants to be paid via "friends and family, or via a gift".

The moderators did their due diligence and have suspended the two users that have been exposed and discussed in this thread. Let's at least thank those people (the moderators) for listening and dealing with this the only way they can.

So I am confused
You want people to pay as gift
Is that what you are saying
Racer1812?
It's part of PayPal you send
A invoice for goods and services

Honda1, you DO NOT have to pay as a "gift" if an invoice isn't sent. You just go to PayPal, select to send money then select "goods" and NOT "gift". Enter the sellers email address, amount to send and send the money, done deal.

And I've never sent or received an invoice through PayPal unless it was an Ebay deal.

Last time I try to pay like that
It would not work they had to
Send a invoice of the things they
where selling and then I could
Make the purchase.

THANK YOU MOD'S

see I can read what is being said as it is simple to pay as I have never sent anyone a invoice and have yet to get one, so no red flags popping up here and oh by the way, THANKS AGAIN TO ALL THE MOD'S

Exactly. I send you my PP addy, YOU select goods/services, and I get the money. IIRC, ME sending YOU an invoice is an option. One which no one has ever requested from me, but if anyone in the future wants one I'll gladly send it.

Honest question Honda1, do you have NO idea who I am? Have you read the rules about gift payments and fees? Look at who wrote those.

Do NOT pay as a gift, ever!
The invoicing is not necessary to be protected by Paypal, as long as you use the "goods and services" tab

Right. Nowhere does it say that paying as a gift is acceptable. Sure, reporting it is what you can do. I politely just say it's against the rules and move on.
