Do batteries for R/C cars last forever? Since they're rechargeable...I've seen a picture of dead batteries..What's up with that?

nothing lasts forever..... after a while they quit taking as much of a charge as they did when new..

no they dont last forever nothing ever does, they slowly break down interaly and some times very rapidly and can even blow up

And BTW, if your batteries ever do wind up looking like that, get rid of them immediately – they can release extremely toxic chemicals/fumes when they reach that point.
