Great , thank you for the reply.

I would think that is something I should invest in when I get the kit.

subscribing. Seriously considering a RS3. Kind of stumped why it doesn't see more attention. Looks like it has all the important things, other than a better spool. Just lacks the bling. First TC i have had since a TC6.

IIRC, the RS3 is basically a BD7'14, just with some aluminium replaced with plastics, i.e. spool, lower bulkheads, FF and RR suspension mounts (FR and RF are aluminium) and it comes without sway bars. Also, some plastic parts like the arms (probably C-hubs and knuckles as well) seem to be normal plastic, instead of the graphite version (judging just by the looks, I don't know if that's really the case.) But then again... it's only about half the price of a "full" BD7 kit.

Thanks. It seems the only things it would need are the spool and the sway bars.

Maybe aluminium FF and RR suspension mounts for tuning purposes, as well. But probably different sizes than kit, since many setups use 44.2 instead of kit* 43.5 as FF (0.5° toe out at the hinges, instead of 0°) and 45.7 instead of kit* 46.4 as RR (2.5° rear toe, instead of 3°), assuming that it comes with the standard kits 43.5 FR and 42.0 RF split blocks.

Oh and floating servo mount or a direct mount servo is also nice to have.

*) referring to the normal BD7 kits - not sure what size the RS plastic mounts actually are

I just built a BD7 RS and it is indeed a very nice kit. The standard rear toe is 3.5 degree but a 2.5 mount comes on the tree as well. Not sure if the arms are carbon but they are quite stiff and the whole car is slop free. Quite impressive actually.

Can anyone recommend a good tire/insert/wheel combo for the BD7 for open tire 17.5 on asphalt? I never ran open tire before so, I'm not sure what the proper way to go is. Thanks

Sorex, Yellow insert. Just buy the ones that suite your temperature.

Hi,
Which front and rear stabilizer set is the one for 2016? Are the previous stabilizer the same? Confused with all the updated part numbers.
I had for my 2014 and 2015 front BD-412W and rear BD-412RS (silver with marking on flag) are these still OK?

Thx for help.

The bars of the stabilizers didn't change, but the turnbuckles between the plastic ballcups (for the back) were replaced by grub screws (to make them shorter, since they're now mounted lower, because of the lower bulkheads.) The front rods still fit, but you need to screw them deeper into the plastic, to get them shorter over all as well.

Default Started my build

I started my build today and realized that the kimbrough spur doesn't fit unless I drill new holes. What other brand of spurs can I use?
