Hi guys,

I own a RC10T3 and will be picking up a XXX-CR soon. I was wondering if anyone could help me decide which mamba max system to get for each of these vehicles. I'm not really sure how the KV options (4600, 5700, 6900, and 7700) translate into performance. Does lower KV (4600) give longer run times than (7700)? What would you suggest for each of the cars I have? And what kind of run times would I be looking at?

I plan on racing on an off road dirt track with quite a few jump and rough areas. Is there a specific lipo I should look into? I've seen 2cell and 3 cell lipos.

I would recomend the 4600 system, esp if you will be using lipos. If you are a really good racer, used to running low turn mods then I would say a 5700 would be good.

The lower kv motors are milder... a bit slower but more runtime/lower temps in general.

Think of the 4600 like a good 12 turn mod... 5700 like a 10 turn.

Since you are looking to run a lipo brushless setup in the cr I would do a few things. First off, I would go with a 4600 mah 6.6 volt a123 racing pack instead of the lipo because they are a safer cell if something was to short and the cr chasis will flex a good bit which could cause it to short out. The 4600 will perform about like a 15 turn motor would on a normal 6 cell pack. The 5700 will be like a 14 turn mod and the 5700 will be like a 8 or 9 turn motor. The 4600 should be plenty of motor for what you want to do. It will be about like a 14 turn mod on 6 cells w/ the 4600 and the 5700 will be about like an 8 turn mod which is too much for buggy. A truck can handle it, but it will require some driving to go along with it.

mamba 5700 with a 2s2p a123 pack ( 6.6v) would be a good combo or a 4600 with a 7.4v lipo. my opinion, it's alot easier to drive an underpowered car.

Those two cars will not be the least bit under powered. Both of those setups will offer you more then enough power.

Underpowered, no. But a 5700 with less voltage (li-ion) will be alot easier to drive than if combined with a lipo or even nimh batteries.

The 5700 on 6.6 volts will still be like driving a 8-10 turn mod on a 6 cell pack and the 4600 will be like a 14 turn mod on a 6 cell pack. If you don't have experience running low turn mods in 2wd then I would go with the 4600. It will still be very fast on the track, you won't get out pulled on a straight unless there is a big 200+ ft. straights where a little more top end will matter. However, if it allows you to run the tight sections better then you will be much faster then if you are frequently in the wall.

The 5700 is ballistic on 7.2V based battery packs. I have one in my SB V2 Pro and its lightning fast. Wouldn't mind picking up a 4600 as a tuning option.
