There is a "revised" edition of the kit. Did not actually read the details. What are the changes?

replacement of the crappy screws that came with the first batch with 10.9 steel screws
Allows usage of lay down servo on top of top deck
Running change on the motor mount -> top deck plastic to adjust for the incorrect height of the original batch
I've asked if those that have the first batch can get the updated parts, but no news from Jacky as yet.

What is the length of the shocks? 50mm?

Nope. Due to the rearward weight-shift when accelerating, puting the motor in front of the front wheels ensures the motor's weight will anchor the front tires to the ground when accelerating. The rest of the vehicle will anchor the front wheels to the ground when braking. Without the motor in front, there's no significant mass to anchor the front wheels when accelerating.

So anyone actually got their kit up & running already?
Wanting to hear any review before I commit to get one for myself.

If your club allows it in the races, go for it.
Definitely get one if you enjoyed running a M-chassis car.
For that price, it;s quite a lot you get. Not once regretted buying one to replace my well-used M05
A few little areas can be improved, but overall very pleased with the MG Evo.

fnshow - Shocks - eye to eye as assembled - 48.5
dswear22 - Tamiya bodies fit, but NOT using the original Tamiya holes. Everything else is just normal equipment

Aluminum gears or stick with the plastics? Any users experience with the gears?

Still using plastic/composite with no issues. Only a handful of people have had gear issues.

So has anyone formed an opinion on the race performance of the 3Racing Mini against the M-07?
